Join us for MadSec in Funchal, Madeira!
MadSec was started in July of 2024 by SECURNITE and Prof. Eduardo Marques from Universidade da Madeira. Every month we invite members of the cybersecurity community on the island of Madeira to join us for an evening of conversations and a beer or two. The goal of this event is for cybersecurity experts and beginners on the island to network and come together. The program for each month can vary; sometimes it's a simple meetup at Bar Sete Mares in Funchal, other months there is a presentation at a different location.
This month we are very excited for MadSec to be hosted at StartUp Madeira. There will be a presentation by the SECURNITE CEO Dr. Thomas Punz about AI titled "Compliance on Autopilot: From guidelines to audited AI controls – Hands-on with Copilot & SSDLC".

No, MadSec is completely free to anyone who would like to meet up with members of the cybersecurity community on the island.
No, it is not required to join the MadSec LinkedIn group. However, we do recommend you join as it is currently the best way to stay informed about what the agenda for each month will be.
The event is in Portuguese, however we do occasionally get English-speaking presenters and so those presentations will be in English.
